The Kalumbila Challenge is on!
FQM Trident Announces Kalumbila Challenge 2025: A Celebration of Wellness, Culture, and Community.
FQM Trident Limited is proud to announce the return of the Kalumbila Challenge in the Happiest Town in Africa, a dynamic community event blending sport, culture, and wellness. The 2025 edition will take place on Saturday, October 4 at Sentinel school grounds in Kalumbila District.
The Kalumbila Challenge has continued to grow each year, drawing over 1,000 participants from five provinces across Zambia in 2024. With the 2025 edition expected to attract more than 1,500 participants, the event is fast becoming one of the most anticipated community gatherings in the region.
“The Kalumbila Challenge is more than just a race — it’s a platform to promote holistic wellbeing, strengthen community bonds, and celebrate our shared culture,” said Scott Whitehead, General Manager of FQM Trident Limited. “It’s a reflection of FQM’s people-first philosophy, where health, inclusion, and community engagement are at the heart of everything we do.”

This year’s event will feature a variety of athletic competitions for all ages and abilities, including:
- Running (5KM and 10KM)
- Cycling (25KM and 50KM)
- Football and Chess
- A dedicated category for persons with disabilities, ensuring the event is accessible and inclusive.

The 2025 Kalumbila Challenge is made possible by the generous support of 35 sponsors, including key partners such as Rock Tech, Quattro, BIA, Nvumabaranda, KASCO and Kanona who have collaborated as platinum sponsors.
